DISNEY AD FEATURING FILIPINO CHRISTMAS | Disney EMEA Features Filipino Christmas in their recent ad

 Courtesy: Disney EMEA

Disney EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) brought its first-ever Christmas advertisement with the theme of Filipino Christmas.

The three minute animated video titled “From Our Family To Yours” was an advertisement for their Christmas campaign of Disney EMEA in collaboration with a children's charity organization as they celebrate 40 years of their partnership.

This advertisement shows a heart whelming story of how a Filipino celebrates Christmas. It also features easter eggs that symbolize Filipino Heritage, from simbang gabi, pagmamano, parol, heirlooms, and families coming together. Nostalgia plays a pivotal role in explaining cultural diversity and how people celebrate Christmas, thus the Philippines is the best representation in centering family togetherness.
Behind this amazing animation was Angela Affinita, Disney EMEA’s in-house creative team leader, director of brand marketing, and creative along with the support of Flux Animation Studios. This was a representation of Angela Affinita’s personal experience and her relationship with her grandmother. They also manage to reach out to cultural consultants in the Philippines to ensure the accuracy of Philippine culture.

Angela Affinita stated, “We knew having a story that placed tradition and togetherness at its heart would make it feel relevant and relatable to people all over the world”. Disney added, The vintage Mickey Mouse Holiday soft toy seen in the advert is available to buy at Disney Stores and online at shopDisney across EMEA.
It is currently being aired on Television and Disney channels in 26 countries in EMEA, as well as Australia, New Zealand, North America, and parts of Asia.
