Michael Bublé, a Canadian singer fulfilled his grandfather's greatest wish which was to give his Filipina caretaker a home of her own.
In an episode of the HGTV program "Celebrity IOU," one of the hosts Drew Scott told Michael that when he was asked about the person he wanted to give back to the most, Michael's response was Minette. The Filipina caretaker who took good care of his grandfather in Vancouver.
"I hired Minette, the nurse, to come and live with him and by the end, (she) was his best friend," Michael told the Property Brothers' hosts, Jonathan and Drew Scott.
Michael additionally shared how Minette has been sending all the earnings she has made to help her family back in the Philippines.
"She’s really a special, beautiful woman," Michael said.
"I think my grandpa would be thrilled knowing that maybe we could lessen the burden a little bit, allowing Minnette to continue helping her family without it being so hard on her," he said.
And while Minette was taking a break in the Philippines, the Scott brothers helped Michael remodel his grandfather's house before they surprise her.
Michael knew that she doesn't like getting any attention so he had to sway Minette and told her that they were shooting a documentary about him and his grandpa. Minette didn't have any hint that Michael was driving her to her newly-remodeled home.
When they got into the place, Minette was amazed about the new look of the house. And then got emotional when Michael told her the news.
"My grandfather, his greatest wish was not just that I kept this house in the family, but it was that this would be your home cause he loved you so much and so there is no documentary this is all for you," Michael said.
